It seems that Rob French's walk, initially arranged as a one off in 2024, is now becoming an annual event only this time it was harder. In the previous year, the walk started at Topsham Bowling Club and then took in Pinces, St Thomas, Belmont, Exonia and Isca before finishing at Heavitree. This year, it was extended to start and finish at Heavitree, a total distance of 14 miles.

At 8.30, six hardy souls set off to be joined and met by other members en route and, in pleasant sunshine and light cloud ( a complete contrast to the previous year), with the aid of a couple of coffee stops, the enlarged group arrived back at Heavitree shortly after 3 o'clock to be met by loud cheering from around 30 members and an array of hot cross buns, cake and more coffee.

The purpose of the walk, to raise funds for the club, was certainly fulfilled and our thanks go to Rob for organising the walk, the walkers who generally finished in good shape and to the ladies who provided the walk end refreshments.
